Specifications

Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Rat Affinity Purified FC
Mouse F4/80 antigen, a 160kD glycoprotein expressed by most murine macrophages. The antigen is not expressed by lymphocytes or polymorphonuclear cells.
Catalog #F0001-50B
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry (frozen). Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionFlow Cytometry: Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul.
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
HybridomaSpleen cells from immunized HOB2 rats were fused with cells of the mouse NS-1 myeloma cell line.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

PurityPurified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
ImmunogenThioglycollate stimulated peritoneal macrophages from C57/BL mice.
SpecificityRecognizes the mouse F4/80 antigen, a 160kD glycoprotein expressed by most murine macrophages. The antibody binds to macrophages from different sites including the peritoneal cavity, lung, spleen and thymus, to blood monocytes and to macrophages derived from bone marrow precursors in culture.
