| Human fascin is a highly conserved actin-bundling protein. Fascin, encoded by the human homolog for sn (hsn) gene. Localized in microspikes and stress fibers of cultured cells, it is hypothesize to be involved in the formation of microfilament bundles. Fascin expression is predominantly located in dendritic cells, while negative in regions of lymphoid, myeloid, and plasma cells. However, Reed Sternberg cells in Hodgkin's lymphoma are positive for fascin staining.
