| F-box proteins, a critical component of the evolutionary conserved ubiquitin-protein ligase complex SCF (Skp1/Cdc53-Cullin1/F-box), recruit substrates for ubiquitination and consequent degradation through their specific protein-protein interaction domains. Novel human F-box proteins named FBG1, FBG2, FBG3, FBG4 and FBG5 constitute a third subfamily of mammalian F-box proteins. FBG genes are expressed in a limited number of human tissues including kidney, liver, brain and muscle tissues. | | | Catalog # | F0019-98G | | Applications | Western Blot: Use at 1:500 to 1:1000 dilution. However, the investigator should determine the optimal dilution for a specific application such as immunohistochemistry. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.02% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Specificity | Residues with residues 70-85 (LQLARDRSAEGRALYA) of the human FBG4 protein. Crossreacts with mouse and rat FBG4 (100% sequence identity). | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
