PCCX1 encodes a nuclear protein carrying a PHD finger, a CXXC domain, and an acidic region. The CXXC domain was found to be sufficient for binding to DNA. The acidic region exhibits a high transactivation ability, but the full-length protein was inactive due to regions which inhibited the acidic region, including the C-terminal region. PCCX1 isactivated by proteolytic cleavage, which removes the C-terminal inhibitory region.

Application(s)Suitable for use in peptide ELISA. In Western Blot no signal obtained yet but low background observed in Human Kidney and Brain extracts at up to 1ug/ml. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
