Human D-dimer (DD), a specific degradation product of cross-linked fibrin, is released into the bloodstream during clot breakdown. It is used as an indicator of a blood clots, venous thromboses or pulmonary embolisms.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionSandwich ELISA: Plasma samples should be diluted with 10mM Tris-HCl buffer, pH 7.5, 1M sodium chloride, 0.1% Tween 20. To avoid non-specific binding, the final sodium chloride concentration in plasma samples should be 0.5M.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

HydridomaHybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add glycerol (40-50%) and aliquot. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
