Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Goat Highly Purified E IH IC
Fibrinogen (clotting factor I) is a heat labile beta glycoprotein present in plasma. It is the precursor of fibrin, which is the key protein constituting the network of the blood clot. Thrombin converts fibrinogen to fibrin by limited proteolysis. Fibrin monomers polymerize to fibrin which is stabilized by cross-linking.
Catalog #F4199-91M
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis, Radial Immunodiffusion, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsELISA: 1:2000-1:10000
Immunocytochemistry: 1:100-1:500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:500
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Peroxidase/IgG protein molar ratio (E/P) ~1.7
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder is stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O prior to use. To avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot reconstituted stock solution and store at -20°C. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Clone TypePolyclonal
ConcentrationNot Determined
FormSupplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2. Preservative free. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O.
PurityPurified by DEAE chromatography
ImmunogenFibrinogen isolated from fresh plasma after removing prothrombin.
SpecificityRecognizes human fibrinogen. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) against normal human plasma a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified fibrinogen. No reaction is obtained with any other plasma protein component or serum. May also react with fibrin monomers, circulating fibrinopeptides and fibrin degradation products. Species Crossreactivity: bovine, canine, feline and monkey
