| The fibrinopeptides (A and B, from the alpha and beta chains of fibrinogen, respectively) serves to prevent fibrinogen from polymerising with itself. Following vascular injury, thrombin cleaves through the fibrinopeptides, which exposes the N terminal polymerisation sites, to allow formation of a blood clot. | | | Catalog # | F4205-99E | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | Spleen cells from immunized Balb/c mice were fused with cells of the Sp2/0 myeloma cell line. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a | | Clone No | 9A169 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH7.4, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic fibrinopeptide A conjugated to a carrier protein. Fusion Partners Spleen cells from immunised Balb/c mice were fused with cells of the Sp2/0 myeloma cell line. | | Specificity | Recognizes human fibrinopeptide A, a 16aa sequence found on the alpha chain of fibrinogen. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
