The FGFs play key roles in controlling tissue growth, morphogenesis and repair in animals. FGF-17 is a newly discovered heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express FGF receptors. Recombinant Human FGF-17 is a 22.7kDa protein containing 195 amino residues.
Catalog #F4212-75
Source E.coli
Form The sterile ltered solution was lyophilized from 10 mM Tris, pH8.0, 30 mM sodium chloride.
Stability The lyophilized protein is stable for few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted FGF-17 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Freeze/thaw cycles will result in signi cant loss of activity.
Purity 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.
Endotoxin 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in 5mM Tris, pH 8.0 to a concentration of 0.11.0mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use.
Biological Activity The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors is 0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a speci c activity of 2 x 10e6 units/mg.
Country of Origin USA
