Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified E B IP IH
Fibronectins are disulfide-linked, dimeric glycoproteins of ~440kD. They possess at least four binding sites for collagen, glycosaminoglycans, transglutaminase, and a cell surface receptor. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, tissue organization and wound healing. Fibronectins are present in basement membranes, interstitial connective tissue matrix and blood. Cellular fibronectin is widely distributed in the stroma of many malignant tumors.
Catalog #F4215-30
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitaion, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA: 1:4000-1:8000. Assayed against 1ug of Fibronectin in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (A0030) as a substrate for 30 minutes at RT.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin embedded tissue): 1:50-1:200
Western Blot: 1:5000-1:10,000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Biotin/Protein Ratio10-20 BAC molecules per rabbit IgG molecule.
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

FormSupplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2, 10mg/ml BSA (IgG and Protease free), 0.01% sodium azide. Labeled with Biotin; Biotinamidocaproate N-Hydroxysuccinimide Ester (BAC). Reconstitute with 100ul sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O.
PurityPurified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
ImmunogenFibronectin purified from human plasma.
SpecificityRecognizes human Fibronectin. Typically less than 1% crossreactivity against other extracellular matrix proteins was detected by ELISA against purified standards. Has negligible crossreactivity with Type I, II, III, IV, V or VI Collagens or Laminin. Non-specific crossreactivity with other human serum proteins or non-Fibronectin extracellular matrix proteins is negligible.
