| Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) is a small uoresent molecule that is commonly conjugated to antibodies for immuno uorescent cell labeling. In conjunction with anti-FITC antibodies, it can also be used as an epitope tag for detection and signal ampli cation. | | | Catalog # | F5249-01 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunoblot and Enzyme Immunoassays. | | Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommened Dilution | Western Blot: 1:10-1:100 (Recommended substrate: BCIP). | | ELISA: 1:100-1:500 (Recommended substrate: p-NPP ). | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Concentration | 0.5-1mg/ml (OD280nm, E0.1%=1.4) | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 0.05M Tris buffer, pH 8, 10mg/ml BSA, 0.1% sodium azide. Labeled with Alkaline Phosphatase (AP). | | Purity | Immunoaffinity purified, absorbed antibody covalently coupled to highly purified alkaline phosphatase (Bovine). Free enzyme is removed. | | Immunogen | Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) | | Specificity | Recognizes fluorescein. No crossreactivity with immunoglobulins of any species tested. Solid phase hapten-antibody capture. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
