| Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) is a small uoresent molecule that is commonly conjugated to antibodies for immuno uorescent cell labeling. In conjunction with anti-FITC antibodies, it can also be used as an epitope tag for detection and signal ampli cation. | | | Catalog # | F5250-17 | | Applications | Suitable for use in the detection of FITC labeled antigens and antibodies, as a capture antibody for FITC labeled bioploymers, ELISA, and as a second enzyme for Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | Hybridization of SP2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. | | Affinity Constant | 1.5 x 10e-8 | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a | | Clone No | 1.BB.75 | | Host | Mouse | | Concentration | ~2mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1% sodium azide before the addition of glycerol to 40%. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. >90% tested by Immunoelectrophoresis. | | Immunogen | FITC-BSA conjugate. | | Specificity | Recognizes free fluorescein and FITC-labeled protein. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
