| Forskolin is a powerful activator of adenyklate cyclase, resulting in an increase of intracellular cAMP concentration.1,2 Activates adenylate cyclase leading to an increase in the intracellular concentration of cAMP. Widely used tool for the investigation of the role of cAMP as a second messenger with a broad range of potential therapeutic applications. Inotropic agent and vasodilator. Induces platelet aggregation. Inhibits ion channels by a mechanism that does not involve cAMP. Non-competitive inhibitor of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. | | | Catalog # | F6024 | | Purity | 99% TLC (NP, DCM, methanol 95:5) | | 99% TLC (RP C18, methanol, H2O 9:1) | | Detection, spray with H2SO4 and heat | | Stability | Light sensitive | | Melting Point | 228-230°C | | Specific Rotation | -26.19º | | Solubility | Solubility (10mg/ml Ethyl acetate): Clear, colorless solution.
