Monoclonal Mouse Purified FC
FoxP3 is a 48kD forkhead transcription factor family member, which was originally identified as the novel protein scurfin. FoxP3 functions as a DNA binding protein that represses transcription, and is reported to be involved in the regulation of T cell activation, differentiation and homeostasis. FoxP3 is primarily expressed within the nuclei of CD25+/CD4+ regulatory T cells (Tr). This population of FoxP3+/CD25+/CD4+ Tr cells plays an essential role in controlling autoimmunity and the immunopathology of human diseases.
