GD3 has been identified as tumor-associated antigens expressed on the surface of neuroectoderm-derived tumors (melanoma, neuroblastoma and glioma) and T-cell leukemia. Gangliosides (sialic acid-containing glycosphingolipids) are normal membrane constituents and highly expressed in the vertebral central nervous system.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsFlow Cytometry: 1-2ug/ml per 10e6 cells cells. Lysis of GD3 positive (melanoma) cells in presence of complement.
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen tissue sections
Immunofluorescence: Cells in culture
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Source Ascites
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
