| Catalog # | G2033-90 |
| Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. The G(i) proteins are involved in hormonal regulation of adenylate cyclase | they inhibit the cyclase in response to beta-adrenergic stimuli |
| Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. |
| Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 dilution detected the Gia-1 and Gia-2 protein in 40ug rat brain microsomal preparation and in 10ug of solubilized plasma membranes from mouse 3T3/A31 fibroblasts. The rat brain microsomal preparation was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with G2033-90 (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. |
| Immunocytochemistry: 1:500 dilution gave positive immunostaining of mouse 3T3/A31 fibroblasts fixed for 3 minutes with ice-cold 100% acetone. |
| Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. |
