| GIT1, also known as G protein-coupled receptor kinase interactor 1 variant, is a 774aa containing cytoplasmic protein belonging to the GIT protein family with an Arf-GAP domain. This regulatory protein is a GTPase-activating protein for the ADP ribosylation factor family and may serve as a scaffold to bring together molecules to form signaling modules controlling vesicle trafficking, adhesion and cytoskeletal organization. It increases the speed of cell migration, as well as the size and rate of formation of protrusions, possibly by targeting PAK1 to adhesions and the leading edge of lamellipodia. GIT1 sequesters inactive non-tyrosine- phosphorylated paxillin in cytoplasmic complexes and also plays a critical role in spine and synapse formation. | | | Catalog # | G2035-07A | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA.
