| GLI-1 is a member of the Krupple family of zinc finger proteins. GLI-1 is activated by the sonic hedgehog pathway and influences transcription of a variety of target genes by binding to the consensus site 5’CGGGTGGTC3’. GLI- activation leads to cellular proliferation and anti-apoptotic activities based on target genes activated. |
