| Glucose-regulated proteins are a class of proteins which are synthesized in response to glycose deprivation. These proteins, along with the closely related heat shock proteins may be grouped together as a family of stress-response proteins (srp). Elevated levels of srp have been observed in some cancer cells and may be an indication of the biological stresses that influence tumor growth. In a study of 398 breast cancer patients, high levels of each of the srps predicted a shorter desease-free survival in node-negative patients. High levels of srp were also correlated with high levels of cathepsin D, suggesting srp may also increase the metastatic and invasive potential. | | | Catalog # | G3057-40L | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot.
