| Beta-Glucuronidase has been found in tissue extracts of mammals and other vertebrates, digestive juices of snails, molluscs, locusts, bacteria and plants. The enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of beta-glucuronides and also the transfer of glucuronly radicals to acceptor alcohols. beta-Glucuronidase is a structural protein of the endoplasmic reticulum and its occurance in the lysozomes is due to changes in the endoplasmic reticulum. | | | Catalog # | G3060-03 | | Beta-Glucuronidase catalyzes the following reaction | beta-Glucuronidase beta-D-Glucuronide + H2O ---> Alcohol + D-Glucuronate | | Catalysis | b-D-glucuronide + H2O --> D-glucuronate + ROH (R: alkyl group) | | Activity | 1000u/ml | | Specific Activity | 170u/mg protein (at 30°C and pH 7.1) | | Contaminants | (percentage of rb-Glucuronidase activity) | | Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (NADP+) 0.001% | | Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (NAD+) 0.001% | | NADPH oxidase 0.001% | | NADH oxidase 0.001% | | Alkaline phosphatase 0.001% | | pH Stability | 6.0-8.0 (1 week at 11°C) | | pH Reactivity | Optimum pH7.5 | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
