Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Ascites E B IC IF
Epitope tags are useful for thge labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining techniques. Due to their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged proteinís biochemical properties. Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a widely used protein fusion partner, since it provides both an easily detectable Tag and a simple purification process with little effect on the biological function of the protein of interest. Numerous vectors containing GST-Tag have been developed for both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems over the past decade (1-3).
Catalog #G8135-01G
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1:1000
Immunocytochemistry (for IF): 1:800
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
