| Catalog # | G8135-08 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunoblot Analysis: 0.5-2ug/ml of this lot detected 100ng of MAP Kinase 2/Erk2, active. 0.5-2ug/ml of a previous lot detected 500ng of GST. Representative blot from a previous lot. Cell lysate containing GST fusion protein was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitro-cellulose and probed with anti-GST (1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemilumine-scence detection system. Arrow indicates the GST fusion protein. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 0.1M Tris-glycine, pH 7.4, 0.15M sodium chloride with 0.05% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | GST (Glutathione-S-transferase) derived from the pGEX expression vector and linked to KLH. | | Specificity | Recognizes GST-fusion proteins. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
