Glutathione S-transferase is a 26kD protein from Schistosoma japonicum. GST is utilized as a fusion protein in protein expression from a range of prokaryotic expression vectors, including the pGEX family of vectors. Antibodies against GST will detect the expressed GST protein or a GST-fusion protein, and can be utilized for immuno-purification of GST-fusion proteins.

Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution	Western Blot: 1ug/ml detected recombinant GST protein and GST-Abltide fusion protein. Recombinant GST protein (20ng), and a GST fusion protein (50ng,) were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with G8135-09A (1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
