| Glutathione S-transferase is a 26kD protein from Schistosoma japonicum. GST is utilized as a fusion protein in protein expression from a range of prokaryotic expression vectors, including the pGEX family of vectors. Antibodies against GST will detect the expressed GST protein or a GST-fusion protein, and can be utilized for immuno-purification of GST-fusion proteins. | | | Catalog # | G8135-09A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1ug/ml detected recombinant GST protein and GST-Abltide fusion protein. Recombinant GST protein (20ng), and a GST fusion protein (50ng,) were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with G8135-09A (1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Recommended secondary antibodies | I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo | | I1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Clone No | 4H327 | | Host | Mouse | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.05% sodium azide before the addition of glycerol to 30%. | | Purity | Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation. | | Immunogen | Recombinant GST (glutathione S-transferase) from Shistosoma japonicum expressed in E. coli. | | Specificity | Recognizes GST fusion proteins. Recognizes bacterial GST. Not expected to crossreact with GST from other species. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
