Applications	Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution	Immunohistochemistry: 1:5000-1:10,000 with immunofluorescence using cyanine-conjugated secondary antibodies.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Immunogen	Synthetic peptide corresponding to the carboxy-terminus as predicted from the cloned rat GLYT1.
Specificity	Recognizes rat Glycine Transporter 1, Glial (GLYT1). The antiserum has been tested on tissue sections from the central nervous system. The staining pattern obtained corresponds to the pattern described using in situ hybridization with probes to rat GLYT1 mRNA. Preabsorption of the antiserum with the immunogen peptide completely abolishes the immunostaining.
Species Crossreactivity	Reportedly works on ferret. Predicted to also recognize the human version of GLYT1 due to sequence homology.
