| Guanine nucleotide binding protein beta-2 (GNB2) is a G-protein subunit belonging to WD repeat G protein beta family. GNB2 functions as a modulator or transducer for trans-membrane signaling pathway systems. G-protein is composed of alpha, beta, and gamma subunits, where beta and gamma subunits are required for GTPase activity and G-protein effector interaction (1). Specifically, GNB2 interacts with the glucocorticoid and migrates into the nucleus to suppress GR-induced trans-activation of the glucocortoid-responsive genes (2). GNB2 has been identified as a binding partner to Ataxin 10, an important target in SCA10 disorder, and also a partner in regulating NTE, a protein known to cause delayed neuropathy with degeneration of nerve axon (3, 4). | | | Catalog # | G8250-35A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.
