| FTCD is present in all mammalian cells either free in the cytosol or tightly bound to the Golgi complex, and is most abundant in the liver. FTCD is linked to two human diseases, autoimmune hepatitis and glutamate formiminotransferase deficiency. | | | Catalog # | G8577-50G | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:64,000 | | Western Blot: 0.03-0.5ug/ml | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in Tris-saline, pH 7.3, 0.02% sodium azide, 0.5% BSA. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic peptide SQLVECVPNFSEGKNQ corresponding to the N-terminus of FTCD. | | Specificity | Recognizes human FTCD. Species sequence homology: mouse. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | EC=2.1.2.5, EC=4.3.1.4, 58K Golgi Protein, Formimidoyltetrahydrofolate Cyclodeaminase, Formiminotetrahydrofolate Cyclodeaminase, Glutamate Formimidoyltransferase, Glutamate Formyltransferase |
