hGH is produced by the somatotroph cells in the pituitary. hGH acts through binding to membrane receptors that belong to the cytokine receptor superfamily. Ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and activation of the receptorassociated kinase	JAK2; this results in phosphorylation of the kinase itself, of the receptor, and of many cellular proteins including the Stat proteins as well as adaptors leading to the activation of the Ras/MAP kinase pathway and of the PI-3 kinase pathway.
Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
	Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.
	Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:2000-4000 for 20 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
	Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
