Histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1), is responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal portion of core histones H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multi-protein complexes.

Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
