| The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the HEM family of tissue-specific transmembrane proteins which are highly conserved from invertebrates through mammals. This gene is only expressed in hematopoietic cells, while hematopoietic protein 2 is preferentially expressed in brain, heart, liver and testis. The function of the HEM1 product has not been established but it is thought to play an essential role in oogenesis. | | | Catalog # | H1827-61A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
