	Heart Infusion Broth medium is prepared from an infusion of beef heart. The first media used for the cultivation of bacteria was prepared from meat infusions. Huntoon showed that pathogenic microorganisms could be grown from infusion agar without enrichments.
Storage and Stability	Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4°C and used within a short period of time.
