Hsp27 was recently found to be identical to the estrogen induced “p29" and “24K” protein. About 50% of breast carcinomas are positive for hsp27 especially those that are also positive for estrogen and/or progesterone receptor. Hsp27 has also been implicated in drug resistance in cancer cells.

Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (frozen & formalin/paraffin). Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution	Western Blot:1–2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.
	Immunohistochemistry: 1–2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT.
	Note: Staining of formalin fixed tissue sections requires boiling the tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10–20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
