| Hemopexin is a serum glycoprotein that binds heme and transports it to the liver for breakdown and iron recovery, after which the free hemopexin returns to the circulation. Structurally hemopexin consists of two similar halves of approximately two hundred amino acid residues connected by a histidine-rich hinge region. Each half is itself formed by the repetition of a basic unit of some 35 to 45 residues. | | | Catalog # | H1865-07 | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:5000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Culture Medium | RPMI 1640 with 10% fetal calf serum. | | Hybridoma | SP2mIL6 myeloma cells with spleen cells from NMRI x BALB/c mice. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
