Perlecan is an extracellular matrix proteoglycan. It has a large core protein of 400-450kD and is often produced with heparan sulfate side chains. Perlecan is found in basement membranes where it contributes to the permeability charateristics, serves as a substrate for vascular cells and binds growth factors involved in vascular remodelling.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionsWestern Blot: 1:100
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen PLP-fixed sections of bovine and human tissues.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
