| Herstatin (HER-2/neu Receptor Tyrosine Kinase) (HER-2/neu, c-erbB-2) oncogene causes tumorigenesis and malignant progression of human cancers. The HER-2/neu oncogene encodes a receptor tyrosine kinase that is overexpressed in several types of human cancer. In breast cancer, overexpression of HER-2 occurs in 30% of the cases where it confer more aggressive tumor growth and poor outcome. |

| Catalog # | H2034-30 |
| Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunoblot. Other applications not tested. |
| Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry: Detects Herstatin in stroma of HER-2 positive breast tissue. |
| Immunoblot Analysis: 0.5-2ug/ml detects Herstatin in lysates from Cos-7 cells transfected with Herstatin. 20ug of 293 cell lysates from nontransfected cells and Herstatin/HER-2neu co-transfected cells were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-Herstatin, (1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat antimouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. |
| Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. |
