Recommended Dilution	Western Blot : 1:1,000-1:10,000 detected Histone H2B in acid extracts from either sodium butyrate or colcemid treated HeLa cells and 13-114 respectively), chicken core histone and recombinant Xenopus Histone H2B

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Specificity	Recognizes and is specific for Histone H2B, Mr ~15kD. An additional band at 23kD is
detected in some samples, which likely corresponds to ubiquityl-Histone H2B. Species Crossreactivity	Human, chicken and Xenopus. Others not tested. Broad species crossreactivity expected based on sequence homology.
