Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Serum B IP
Catalog #H5110-13A3
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Chromatin IP. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunoblot Analysis: 1:100,000-1:200,000 dilution of this lot detected acetyl-histone H3 (Lys23) in acid extracts from sodium butyrate treated HeLa cells. The antibody does not detect unacetylated recombinant histone H3.
Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP): 0.5ul of this lot preferentially immunoprecipitates chromatin from wild type yeast, compared to yeast containing a histone H3 K23R substitution.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. ImmunogenKLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide (KQLASAcKAARK-C) corresponding to aa18- 27 of yeast histone H3 acetylated on lysine 23, with a C-terminal cysteine added for conjugation purposes.
SpecificityRecognizes acetyl-histone H3 (Lys23), Mr 17kD. Does not recognize unacetylated recombinant histone H3. Species Crossreactivity: Yeast and human. Broad species crossreactivity is expected due to sequence homology.
