| Catalog # | H5110-13C | | In diploid eucaryotic cells, the chromatin fibers are about 20nM in diameter. They consist of two major components in equal amounts, DNA and the basic proteins call Histones. The recurring positive charges of the histones form electrostataic associations with the negatively charged phosphate groups of DNA making the DNA more stable and flexible. This allows for the supercoiling of the chromatin fibers. Molecular weight | 15.3kD. | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Sheep | | Source | Bovine | | Concentration | ~2mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4.
