ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunoblot Analysis: 1:500-1:5000 of this lot detected dimethyl (Lys9) histone H3 in acid extracted proteins from HeLa cells and core histones purified from chicken erythrocytes, recombinant Xenopus Histone H3 methylated in vitro by G9a methyltransferase but not unmethylated recombinant Histone H3.
ELISA: 1:300-1:2700 of this lot detected the immunizing peptide but not a corresponding unmethylated peptide. No crossreactivity detected with Histone H3 derived peptides containing dimethyl-lysine at residues corresponding to 4, 14, 27, 36 or 79.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
