Recommended DilutionImmunoblot Analysis: A 1:1000-1:5000 dilution of this lot detected methylated Histone H3 in acid-extracted proteins from HeLa cells. The antibody did not detect unmethylated recombinant Histone H3.
Peptide Inhibition: Specificity of this lot was confirmed by the ability of 1uM of the immunizing peptide to completely abolish detection of Histone H3 in immunoblot analysis of HeLa acid extracts. No competition was observed with peptides containing monomethyl-lysine 9, trimethyl-lysine 9, monomethyl-lysine 27, dimethyl-lysine 27, or trimethyl-lysine 27.
Beadlyte® Histone-Peptide Specificity Assay: A 1:1000 dilution of this lot was incubated with histone H3 peptides containing various modifications conjugated to Luminex microspheres.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
