ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Chromatin IP. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunoblot Analysis: 1:500-1:1000 dilution of this lot detected methylated Histone H3 in acid extracted proteins from HeLa cells, but did not detect unmethylated recombinant Histone H3. This may also be tested using Histone H3.
Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: Reported by an independent laboratory to immunoprecipitate chromatin using an anti-chicken bridging antibody to mediate protein A binding.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Preference for dimethyl-Lys27 over monomethyl-Lys27, 27trimethyl-Lys27 and dimethyl-Lys9 verified by ELISA using corresponding methylated peptides. Species Crossreactivity: Human, mouse, rat, cow, fly and chicken. Does not react with yeast. Broad crossreactivity expected based on homology of Histone H3.
