Applications
A dose dependent response assay should be performed to determine the optimal concentration for use in specific applications. Direct Immunofluorescent staining of cells may be performed in 1:50 dilution range. Dot Blot assays with purified p24 may be performed at a minimum dilution of 1:100.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No stabilizers or preservatives added. Labeled with FITC.
Purity
Highly purified pAb IgG (≥ 95%) was used for FITC conjugation and the conjugate purified by gel exclusion chromatography.
Specificity
Binds to native and recombinant HIV-1 p24 in Dot Blot assays and stains cell surfaces in direct immunofluorescence assays.
