Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified IH FC
MHC class II antigens are transmembrane glycoproteins of non-covalently linked a (33-35kD) and beta (27-30kD) chains. Three loci, DR, DQ and DP, encode the major expressed products of the human class II region. The human MHC class II molecules bind intracellularly processed peptides and present them to T-helper cells. They therefore have a critical role in the initiation of the immune response. Differential expression of MHC class II antigens on fetal and adult lymphocytes, malignant B cells appears to reflect the stage of cell differentiation which may be useful in the study of lymphoproliferative disorders.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Cytotoxicity, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry: Frozen
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Recommended Secondary ReagentsF(ab')2 rabbit anti-mouse IgG HRP, F(ab')2 rabbit anti mouse IgG: RPE conjugate
Recommended Negative ControlsMouse IgG2a Negative Control
Fusion PartnersSpleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the SP2/0 mouse myeloma cell line.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Clone TypeMonoclonal
Clone No3H2222
FormSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide.
PurityPurified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
ImmunogenT4-positive CTL clone HG-38
SpecificityReacts with a monomorphic determinant of human class II HLA DQ molecules. Distribution studies on cell lines suggest that SPV-L3 is directed against DQ antigens. This antibody was shown to strongly block cytotoxicity activity of T4-positive cytotoxic T cell clones. Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays. Species Crossreactivity: Porcine.
