| MHC class II antigens are transmembrane glycoproteins of non-covalently linked alpha (33-35kD) and beta (27-30kD) chains. Three loci, DR, DQ and DP, encode the major expressed products of the human class II region. The human MHC class II molecules bind intracellularly processed peptides and present them to T-helper cells. They therefore have a critical role in the initiation of the immune response. Differential expression of MHC class II antigens on fetal and adult lymphocytes, malignant B cells appears to reflect the stage of cell differentiation which may be useful in the study of lymphoproliferative disorders. | | | Catalog # | H6099-89E | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunofluorescence.
