The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In humans, this complex is referred to as the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) region. There are 3 major MHC class II proteins encoded by the HLA which are HLA DP, HLA DQ and HLA DR.

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: Neat, 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Hybridoma
Y3 Ag1.2.3 myeloma cells with spleen cells from AO rat.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C before and after reconstitution. DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at 4°C after receipt. Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
EHR-B Ramos cells.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, 1% BSA, 5% sucrose, 0.09% sodium azide. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O. Labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE).
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes a monomorphic determinant of human HLA-DR, expressed by B lymphocytes, monocytes and activated T cells. This clone has also been shown to recognize a polymorphic determinant in mice, mapping to the H-2 I-A region.
