| The gene encoding this protein belongs to the homeobox family of genes. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXB, HOXC and HOXD, located on different chromosomes, consisting of 9 to 11 genes arranged in tandem. The gene encoding this protein is one of several homeobox HOXC genes located in a cluster on chromosome 12. The product of this gene binds to a promoter element of the lactase-phlorizin hydrolase. It also may play a role in early intestinal development. | | | Catalog # | H7023-30 | | Species | Homo sapiens | | Source | E. coli | | Primary Sequence (aa) | 304 | | Domain (aa) | Full-length | | Tag/Fusion Partner | T7 Tag | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA as an Antigen, Ligand, or Assay Standard.
