Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

SpecificityRecognizes human iNOS (25-54) and recombinant human iNOS (Type II). Does not react to human nNOS (201-231), recombinant human nNOS (Type I), human eNOS (25-54) and recombinant human eNOS (Type III). It has been epitope mapped using 96 overlapping 18 amino acid long synthetic peptides which cover the entire 1153 amino acid length of human iNOS and was found to bind to a defined region of the human iNOS sequence, residues 25-54.
