Storage and Stability	Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.

Specificity	Recognizes rat IgA, alpha chain. Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at < 1% crossreactivity against other rat heavy or light chain isotypes. Assay by IEP resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-peroxidase, anti-goat serum, rat IgA and rat serum.
