Suitable for Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000 ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000. Assayed against 1ug of sheep IgG in a standard sandwich ELISA using ABTS (A0030) as a substrate for 30 minutes at RT. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:2500 Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light.
Immunogen
Sheep IgG whole molecule.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2, 10mg/ml BSA (IgG and Protease free), 0.01% gentamicin sulfate. Labeled with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP). Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes sheep IgG H&L. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-peroxidase, anti-donkey serum, sheep IgG and sheep serum. No reaction was observed against chicken, guinea pig, Golden Syrian Hamster, equine, human, mouse, rabbit and rat serum proteins.
