| Principal Names: Importin-11 (IPO11); Imp11; Ran-binding protein 11 (RanBP11); Official Gene Symbol: IPO11 Gene ID: 51194 (Human) Gene Map Locus: 5q12.1 (Human) Importin-11 is a novel member of Karyopherin family. Karyopherins are transport receptors that mediate the transport of protein and RNA across the nucleus and cytoplasm. Importin-11 consists of an N-terminal Ran-binding domain, a central cargo-binding region and C-terminal region. It interacts with Ran-GTPase and constitutively shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm. Reports suggest Importin-11 primarily mediates the transport of ribosomal protein L12 and UbcM2, an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme. | | | Catalog # | I7510-10 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | HeLa lysate | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | PBS containing 0.2% gelatin | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | A portion of amino acids 1-50 of human Importin-11 was used as the immunogen. | | Specificity | The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, rhesus monkey, chimp, bovine, canine, mouse and rat, and 94% homologous in xenopus.
