| The NS protein is a 26kDa non-essential virulence factor that is synthesized in abundance in the infected cell but is not incorporated into the virus. It has multiple functions during viral infection, including the inhibition of host immune responses by limitation of interferon production. It also plays a role in the viral replication cycle, including RNA replication and protein synthesis. Due to its numerous functions, it is a possible target for antiviral drugs, or may be useful in vaccine design. | | | Catalog # | I7649-51Y | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA.
