IGF-1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Receptor) consists of alpha- and beta-subunits which are disulfide-linked in a beta-alpha-alpha-beta configuration in the mature receptor. The alpha-subunit is completely extracellular, while the beta-subunit spans the membrane and the intracellular portion has intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity. This recombinant human IGF-IR protein encodes amino acids 1213-1367.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
